Today’s goal: Savor life.
I love Indian food. On many trips to this beautiful country, people have shared their flavors and spices with me. Tandoori chicken. Biryani and masala. Warm naan bread. The markets of India are full of amazing smells and tastes. Life seems vibrant on the streets of an Indian city. Crazy, yes, packed to overflowing with people and smells and sounds everywhere. But vibrant and alive. Lots to savor.
Savor is a word about spice, depth, and experiencing life to the full.

savor (verb)
- to give a flavor to something; to season; to add spice
- to inhale deeply, so as to slow down to fully experience something
- to give oneself to the enjoyment of something; to find the best in something
Note to self: Stop rushing! Savor today.
“Hurry is an unpleasant thing in itself, but it is also unpleasant for whoever is around it. Live from day to day, just day to day. If you do so, you worry less and live more richly.” – Anne Morrow Lindbergh
The Celtic Christians of Ireland understood the choice to walk through the world, savoring and enjoying life.
“May He Bring You Home Rejoicing” – A Celtic Blessing
May the peace of the Lord Christ go with you,
wherever He may send you,
May He guide you through the wilderness,
protect you through the storm.
May He bring you home rejoicing
at the wonders He has shown you
May He bring you home rejoicing
once again into our doors.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
